From time to time I come across some stunning documentary photos. Now it’s time to show some of them to you.

Bettina Flitner | bettinaflitner.de
Especially one essay caught my eye: She went to Berlin and asked young nationalist why they have this kind of political thoughts. The answers made me laugh because of shock. There is also an English version available.

Border Film Project | borderfilmproject.com
At the border between the US and Mexico an organisation provided disposable cameras to migrants who are illegally trying to cross the border and to minutemen who voluntarily watch over the border land. With the photos you’re able to gain insight in the lives of both, but be sure to check out the gallery of similarities. You might be surprised.

James Nachtwey | jamesnachtwey.com
One of the huge names in business mustn’t stay unmentioned. It seems that Nachtwey has absorbed the rule Robert Capa one day stated: “If your pictures aren’t good enough, you’re not close enough.” He is so close that it makes you feel uncomfortable.

Sibylle Fendt | sibyllefendt.de
I’m not sure whether it’s her choice of topics or it’s her way of realising them, but be it “Ana”, “No sleep before I die” or especially “Uneins” - they all captivate me.
